Creative Ideas For Young Philanthropists
There are many ways for local, community-minded youngsters to make a difference:
Collect loose change for a month or even a year and donate it to our emergency feeding programs.
Instead of asking for gifts at your next birthday party, encourage guests to bring food items to donate to our pantries.
Donate the proceeds from your next family garage sale or lemonade stand to our organization.
Tend a community garden plot and donate produce to our food pantry.
Get your class involved – ask your teacher about incorporating hunger awareness into your learning.
Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes can even come speak to your class about what we can all do to help end hunger.
