Stretching Every Donated Dollar

While we appreciate both food and fund donations, Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes can oftentimes procure food at a much lower cost than the average consumer – about six cents per pound. For every $1 donated, we can purchase breakfast, lunch, and dinner for one individual struggling with hunger. This is possible because of our purchasing power through the wholesale market and the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. Financial donations also allow us to secure important nutritional items such as meats and other high-protein items that are not typically donated. Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes works hard to stretch every dollar you donate to work towards a hunger-free community.
