Young Philanthropists Program

Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes’ Young Philanthropists Program is all about recognizing the young anti-hunger advocates in our community. Whether you give time, dollars, or food to support Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes’ programs, we want to commend you for your hard work and dedication to the cause of relieving hunger in Kalamazoo County.

To become recognized as an official Young Philanthropist, please let us know what you do to help alleviate hunger in our community. Call us at 269-488-2617 ext. 218, email us at info@kzoolf.org, or stop by our office at 901 Portage St. to tell us your story.

Here are some helpful ideas on how YOU can become a Young Philanthropist today:

  • Collect loose change for a month or even a year and donate it to our emergency feeding programs.
  • Instead of asking for gifts at your next birthday party, encourage guests to bring food items to donate to our pantries.
  • Donate the proceeds from your next family garage sale or lemonade stand to our organization.
  • Get your class involved – ask your teacher about incorporating hunger awareness into your learning. Representatives from Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes can even come speak to your class about what we can all do to help end hunger.

Let us know your great ideas on how to feed hungry people!
